We were informed that the Beach Replenishment Project on LBI will begin in September.  Mayor Joseph Mancini of Long Beach Twp announced at the general membership meeting of the new LBI Chamber of Commerce that the Army Corps of Engineers will be notifying him this week of this decision.  So there will be no replenishment work on LBI this summer.     While we are supportive of efforts to fortify the beaches and feel it is an important project for the future of the Island, we are relieved that we will not have to deal with replenishment work during the summer months.    We will continue to keep you all informed of any news about this or any other issue regarding the Rental Market on LBI.
